How to make a good background

This is a turorial on how to make a good background for a picture.
Requirememts
You need a picutre editor.

Here are a list of some free editors:

• MS paint (default) Most people should have this already!
  Paint.net (download needed)
  GIMP (download needed) Note: this is just like adobe photoshop but with gimp you dont pay.

Making a good background with MS paint:

This is probably the hardest to explain. People think paint is only good for cropping images, well it can do other things too! One trick i found is to make a scribble, small in the top corner and any colour, add different colour scribbles if you like then your ready to go to the next step. Select the area of scribble, hold the shift key on your keyboard, click and hold the selected image and make it go right across the page (move the mouse left and right, up and down. This result is good for beginner image makers!

Making a good background with Paint.net:

So you've probably moved higher in the scale of picture making so paint.net is best for you at this point. It's not a website but you need to download it from a website to use it. The best result for you is to click on edit on the toolbar at the top of the programme paint.net, click on render and click on either 3 icons. Then create a new layer by going down to the mini window saying layers and click the little icon with some paper and a + sign on it. Click on adjustments and click on any effect and see what you get!

Well, you've got far and its time to give you my secrets! On the right hand side of the image maker there should be a giant box, go to the bottom half and click one of the 3 icons, i prefer the 2nd one for this. There are many drag and drop backgrounds so just drag and drop them onto your blank canvas and jobs done!
