Hello Penguins,

Phishing is a very important topic when it comes to a place where you need to login to get in.
This whole topic is dedicated to prevent phishing!

To begin here is the definition of "phishing"

phishing-(noun)- the practice of luring unsuspecting Internet users to a fake Web site by using authentic-looking email with the real organization's logo, in an attempt to steal passwords, financial or personal information, or introduce a virus attack; the creation of a Web site replica for fooling unsuspecting Internet users into submitting personal or financial information or passwords

Any website in the world is able to phish your account here, at Plaza Penguins!
Some may even look the same as our login page.

Notice the URL bar.
It even has plazapenguins in it, but due to the fact is has 000webhosted at the end, this website can be identified as a phishing site!

Other URLS may be:

forumhosted.t 35.com
dockpenguinslogin.hosted.com
plazapemguins.login.com
etc.

They are all fake!
All though they all look real,the second you login to one your password is considered theirs.

The only REAL LOGIN page for this site is
http://www.plazapenguins.com/login.forum?connexion

Let's say your in the middle of posting or reading a post and BOOM it asks you to re-login!
DO NOT DO IT!!!! It is most likely a script leading you to a new page!

Most of the phishing links used are blocked
When you see :
This URL has been disabled due to phishing problems. REPORT IT!

Plaza Penguins is as safe as can be, but we recommend you use these tips below!

1. When you are asked to relogin, go to your url bar and type in "plazapenguins.com" if you're still logged out, click our LOG IN BUTTON; and sign in!
   
2. NEVER share your password. Even if someone says they'll pay you for it, do not share it, they can be trying to steal your information, and most likely there also scamming you; you won't get the money.
   
3. Don't put your password on any site other than Plaza Penguins.
   
4. Use different passwords for every site. (If the phisher only has your Plaza Penguins pass, you can still send a lost password email, for they don't have your email password!
   
5. Stay aware of your URL bar AT ALL TIMES.
   

Our moderators and administrators try our best to keep the forum safe; however anything can happen!

Please take these tips into consideration, and try to avoid phishing links.
